How We Score
We score every brick flower set with the same rubric, regardless of ad budget or brand size. Each score is based on real-room photography, editorial independence, and clear disclosure of our relationship with Momantee.
BloomBricks was started by the Momantee team, but reviews remain editorially independent: scores are not controlled by brands, and we clearly label sample sources and affiliate links. See About Us and Disclosure Policy.
Six Scoring Criteria
Every criterion defines what to look for and which proof shots are required, keeping scores traceable and verifiable.
Home decor appeal
What we check: Whether the palette is low-saturation and non-plasticky, whether it works with real furnishings, and whether the proportions age well.
Required shots: real-room context photos, not white-background renders.
Build experience
What we check: Instruction clarity, brick feel, mistake-prone steps, and whether the build feels relaxing.
Required shots: build process and parts-bag photos.
Value
What we check: Overall value across price, piece count, finished appearance, and vase inclusion.
Required shots: price tag / piece count shown beside the finished set.
Giftability
What we check: Gift-box quality, price hiding, and ready-to-display ease.
Required shots: original packaging and gift-box unboxing.
Display friendliness
What we check: Base stability, footprint, ease of cleaning, and tip-over risk.
Required shots: multi-angle display and base close-ups.
Long-term low maintenance
What we check: fading, dust buildup, loose pieces, and other long-term behavior
Required shots: follow-up photos after real use.
Scoring Scale (1-5)
Poor
Major drawbacks; not recommended
Pass
Decent, good for specific needs
Excellent
Class benchmark, easy recommendation
The total score is a weighted average across six dimensions, rounded to one decimal. We do not inflate scores: 3 means genuinely acceptable, and 5 is reserved for category benchmarks.
How We Test
- 1
Real purchase / sample labeling
We buy sets ourselves whenever possible. If a brand sample is used, it is clearly labeled and never changes the score.
- 2
Multi-room photography
Photograph the finished set in real rooms such as desks, bookshelves, and bedside tables instead of relying on white-background renders.
- 3
Scored on the same rubric
Each of the six criteria is scored from 1 to 5, with required proof shots for traceability.
- 4
Long-term follow-up
Re-shoot after a period of use to record fading, dust buildup, loosened pieces, and other long-term behavior.
